Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are a group of chemicals that paralyze selected muscle groups due of their effect on the nerves of those muscles. Derived from the botulinum toxin, these chemicals have been used for decades in the medical treatment of neurological conditions and have become extremely popular in non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

The most familiar of these products is the Botox Cosmetic®, however two similar products called Dysport and Xeomin® have recently been added to the Canadian market.
